The new Eco-Apps
Yes, the smartphone has turned our lives upside down in no time at all, but will it also revolutionise our consumer behaviour?! Thanks to the new Eco Apps, we're already moving in the right direction.
They should help us to keep things under control and make sustainable decisions amid the hustle and bustle of everyday life: in the supermarket, in the shopping centre, and even at the kitchen sink.
Here are a few examples of exciting apps: EcoChallenge allows you to test your own consumer behaviour and compare it with international averages. The WWF fish guide helps you to buy the right kinds of fish. And Erntefrisch lets you know via GPS which vegetables are in season and where the next market will take place. But the most trend-setting of the Eco Apps are the barcode scanners: CodeCheck provides information on food contents that may damage your health, whereas Barcoo provides a sustainability analysis for different products.
